Drench is a modular wildfire protection system that can prevent a fire at any home in any location. This has been achieved by utilizing a standalone water pump, large water tank, firefighting home, battery backup system, and an IoT processor connected to the internet via an always-on cellular connection. This ensures homeowners are protected even when the municipal electrical and water utilities inevitably fail.

Sprinklers are installed at key locations under the eaves and on the roof of every home. During a fire event these sprinklers will wet down the entire house, focusing on the features most vulnerable to an ember storm, and a 30 ft. buffer zone on all sides of the house. The sprinklers will be turned on by Drench's automated system that continuously monitors for fires within a 7-mile radius of the protected home. Homeowners can also turn on the Drench system at any time via a cell phone app or button on the system. 

During a wildfire event this is the sequence of steps Drench will take to protect your house:

1. Drench's automated monitoring system notices that a fire has started and is burning within 15 miles of your home. 
2. Drenchflips into high-speed monitoring and updates the position of this fire every minute.
3. As the fire crosses the 7-mile mark Drench activates and notifies the user via the cell-phone app, email, and text messages.
4.  The main pump is turned on and starts spraying the house and surrounding area with water. The auxiliary pump also starts injecting firefighting foam into the water delivery system so all sprinklers are spraying both foam and water.
5. Drenchrotates the sprinkler zones of your house continuously to ensure every quadrant of your house is doused with foam and kept wet.
6. As long as power and water service remain on at your house Drench can continue spraying water indefinitely.
7. If power goes out at your house Drench will flip over to battery power and continue to spray your house for another 4-4.5 hrs. If water pressure goes out Drench will continue spraying until all 2500 gallons of water have been deployed onto your house.
8. As soon as you are able to return to your house you will find a completely intact home without any fire damage.
