Drench system actively protecting a home

Drench Fire Defense is reimagining home wildfire protection with automated external sprinkler systems that think for themselves. Our intelligent systems activate automatically — triggered by wildfire detection APIs, strategically placed temperature sensors, or your smartphone — drenching your property in minutes, not hours.

This has been achieved by combining a standalone water pump, large water tank, firefighting foam delivery, battery backup, and an IoT processor connected via an always-on Starlink satellite connection. This ensures homeowners are protected even when municipal electrical and water utilities fail.

Sprinklers are installed under the eaves and on the roof of every home. During a fire event they wet down the entire structure, focusing on the features most vulnerable to an ember storm, plus a 30ft buffer zone on all sides. Homeowners can also activate Drench at any time via the phone app or a button on the system itself.

What Happens During a Fire Event

Wildfire approaching a home
1

Drench's automated monitoring detects a fire burning within 15 miles of your home and switches to high-speed tracking, updating the fire's position every minute.

2

As the fire crosses the 7-mile mark, Drench activates and immediately notifies you via the phone app, email, and text message.

3

The main pump starts spraying the house and surrounding area with water. The auxiliary pump simultaneously injects Class A firefighting foam so every sprinkler delivers both foam and water.

4

Drench continuously rotates through sprinkler zones to ensure every quadrant of the house is doused with foam and kept wet throughout the event.

Staying Protected Until It's Over

As long as utility power and water remain on, Drench can continue spraying your home indefinitely.

If power goes out, Drench switches to battery power and continues spraying for another 4–4.5 hours. If water pressure fails, Drench deploys all 2,500 gallons from its onboard tank.

When you return home, you'll find your structure completely intact — no fire damage.
